Beacon St has no bicycle infrastructure in Newton Centre since the bike lanes end. The addition of outdoor dining spaces, which stick out into the vehicle travel lane, has made it even more dangerous than it was last year.
At a minimum there should be sharrows and ideally “share the road” or “bikes must use full lane” signs

Description / Need
Beacon St and Langley Road used to have sharrows in a couple of places but they are worn off. Both streets are major bicycle routes and very dangerous for bicycles because of heavy traffic, parked cars and lack of bicycle infrastructure, especially because the Beacon St bike lanes stop abruptly in Newton Centre.
